Our Recording Guide and Workflow

  • Getting started with the initial communication:

Tell us your desired date and time, contact information, expected numbers of people attending and duration required. We will then ask you about what type of project it is and how you would like to approach your recording session and any specific requests you’d like to make. From there, we will determine the scope of the plan to complete it.

  • Schedule the recording session:

We will schedule time and confirm with you. After that, the booking confirmation and invoice will be sent via email. If you have a brief of your song such as genre, song structure, demo, backing track, lyrics, reference material, etc., please send them to us before the session, it will help us to understand your vision better and the recording process will be much smoother.

  • On the recording day:

We will start by briefly going through the steps of your recording session, getting you feel comfortable in the room, setting up and testing instruments and equipment. After that, we will check the microphones, check the headphones and have you run through your song for sound-checking and warming up before we start recording. Once all set, we will begin tracking.

  • How long should it take to record a song:

Depending on the genre, composition, arrangement, experience, etc., recording a song with a well-rehearsed band takes about a full-day session (8-12 hours) in general, and a singer will of course take a lot less time than a full band - Well prepared and rehearsed are key. We recommend 2 hour-recording session for one song is generally a good-safe booking time.
