Terms of Use

Thank you for choosing Goldilocks Playroom, please read the terms of service carefully and contact us if you need any further information.

 

By using or engaging Goldilocks Playroom’s services, you agree and are bound by the following terms of service.

If you disagree with any part of these terms and conditions, please do not use our services.

 

“We/Us” means Goldilocks Playroom as a limited liability company (Practice/Rehearsal & Recording Studios, Audio, Music and Sound Production Services) which includes its staff, freelancers, or official representatives of the Company.

“You” means customer/client, client personnel, individual, band member or company who makes the booking and/or uses our services.

Music Rooms

  • All charges are per room, not per person.

  • We kindly ask for your cooperation to leave the room 5 mins before the session finishes.

  •  No food and alcohol are permitted in the practice or rehearsal rooms without permission of our staff. Soft drinks and water are only permitted in sealed containers and may not be placed on instruments and equipment. Please use the lounge area for eating and drinking.

  • No smoking is permitted in all rooms, please smoke in designated areas.

  • Pets or animals are not allowed in the building.

  • Musical instruments and equipment are subject to change without notice due to maintenance or other reasons.

  • When moving any equipment, please kindly return to its original position.

  • Do not unplug instruments without using standby mode of the amplifiers. Unplugging any operating equipment or device is not allowed without permission of our staff.

  • If in doubt about equipment usage, please ask our staff and follow the instructions to ensure your own safety and prevent equipment damage.

  • If equipment fails to function or operate, please notify our staff immediately and we will replace it for you.

  • Any loss or damage caused to the building or equipment by you or any person connected with you directly or indirectly due to intentional or inadvertent action, is your full responsibility. Such loss or damage will be charged in full to you.

  • We shall not be held liable for any recording failures or lost/corrupted files by self-recording in the room.

  • It is your full responsibility to take care of your personal belongings.

  • Doors of music rooms must be kept closed when sound is being made.

  • Any inconvenience caused to the facility or other customers; you will be asked to leave.

  • All rooms will only be used for the purposes declared on your booking.

Membership

  • Our Studio is membership based.

  • There are 3 membership plans to choose from: Regular, Premium and Elite.

  • Regular membership is an hourly rate system.

  • Premium and Elite membership plans are monthly subscription model. Only the specific 30-day duration that you wish to join and apply.

  • Reservation can be made one month in advance. For Premium and Elite plans, you can book a maximum of 7 practice sessions at any given time within a one-month period. Once you have booked 7 sessions, one or more session need to be completed before booking another additional slots. This ensures fair access to studio resources for all customers and helps prevent over booking.

  • For Premium and Elite membership plans, if you would like to extend after your maximum hours of the membership plan, regular hourly rate of the selected room, time, and day will be applied.

  • There is no admission fee or annual membership fee.

  • You will be required to register for membership when using our music rooms for the first time.

  • The membership card will be issued and given to you.

  • The membership card is non-transferable and can only be used by its registered holder.

  • Member of Goldilocks Playroom is eligible to get points, promotions, and discounts.

  • The offers are subject to change without notice and Goldilocks Playroom reserves the right of final decision to exercise the offers in case of a dispute.

  • If the card is lost or damaged, there will be a fee for reissuing a new card.

Recording

  • A booking must be confirmed in advance by phone, email or at the studio with details of recording session and expected numbers attending and duration required.

  • The booking confirmation and invoice will be sent via email.

  • For first-time user on our recording service, you will be asked to pay for a deposit in advance. If the deposit is not paid 7 days prior to the booked date, it will be considered as a cancellation.

  • You can find the list of our equipment here. However, some equipment may not be available. Please check and confirm with us about the equipment during booking process.

  • If you plan to bring your own or additional equipment, please inform us during the booking process. Your equipment shall be compatible with the studio.

  • Any loss or damage caused to your equipment shall be entirely at your sole risk.

  • The cost of the hire of your equipment or personnel shall be your responsibility.

  • You shall be responsible for ensuring the suitability of the recording studio for your purpose.

  • You shall be responsible for noise levels within the recording studio. High noise levels shall not be sustained for long periods.

  • You shall be responsible for any problem, claim, loss or damage caused by you or your device and equipment including without limitation any virus damage or third-party claims for unauthorized samples or copyright infringements of which you shall keep us fully indemnified for any and all costs arising directly or indirectly.

  • Any additional services, including, but not be limited to, mixing, mastering, creating additional tracks, and adding to or modifying tracks as well as files and data management and delivery when done outside/after the booking time agreed to require additional booking time and fees.

  • Recording session (studio time) ends when the engineer has completed working on your project. If you require bounces, backups, CD burning, etc. the engineer is still working and the studio is still operating, and you are still being billed based on the recording service hourly rate.

  • We will send and deliver your session data and files via email and cloud storage download link.

  • After delivering files to you, you shall be responsible for backing up or creating safety duplicates of your media data. We shall not be held liable for any losses caused by lost or corrupted files.

  • We shall keep your data for up to 3 months by storing and backing-up all valuable data and session files.

  • We kindly ask you to clean up and remove all your device and equipment at the end of the session(s) of booking.

  • In the event of the recording studio breaks down, becomes unavailable for any reason and it prevents you from recording as intended, we shall at our option either replace the studio facilities to which you were entitled (as soon as can reasonably be arranged) or credit or refund you with the fee on a pro-rata basis. We shall bear no liability or obligation to you beyond these remedies.

  • In the event of cancellation, changing date and time, or mis-schedule of the confirmed recording session, you will be responsible for the session costs, and the cancellation fees and policies will be applied.

  • The recording session reservation will be cancelled if you do not arrive within one hour past the booked time.

  • We reserve the right to refuse service at our sole discretion and/or terminate service at any time.

  • Rates and prices are subject to change without notice.

Audio, Music and Sound Productions
(Production, Sound Design, Audio Editing, Mixing and Mastering)

  • When using the production services, please send us your project brief via email.

  • The rates and pricing will be sent and agreed in a direct email confirmation with our representative before the services are performed.

  • We shall carry out these services at your reasonable direction and your decision shall be final. Once the work approved by you, we cannot be held responsible for any subsequent requests or changes.

  • For any broadcast related project including TV, radio and cinema material, you are required to provide us with the most up to date and comprehensive delivery spec sheet from the specific studio or broadcaster and/or broadcaster distribution company hired by you. The spec sheet must at least in part relate to their specific sound and audio requirements including file delivery formats.

  • We make every effort to ensure audio specs are delivered as required. Once approved by you, we cannot be held responsible for any subsequent changes to the audio formats, levels or other spec that may be applied by outside factors.

  • We reserve the right to refuse installation of your plug-in software to any of our computer hardware.

  • You waive the right to bring any legal action(s) against Goldilocks Playroom and/or its staff due to any damages or loss, financial or otherwise, resulting from your use of our composing/production, recording, tracking, editing, mixing, mastering or rehearsal room services.

  • We reserve the right to refuse service at our sole discretion and/or terminate service at any time.

Cancellation

  • Cancellations can be made by phone only.

  • No cancellation fee will be imposed when notification is made 7 days prior to the booked date.

  • Cancellation fee will be applied by 50% of your total price between 6 days to a day before the booked date and by 100% charge on the day.

  • The room reservation will be cancelled if you do not arrive by half past the booked time. For recording session, the reservation will be cancelled if you do not arrive within one hour past the booked time.

  • Changing or mis-schedule your booked date and time will be considered as a cancellation.

  • For first-time user on our recording service, you will be asked to pay for a deposit in advance. If the deposit is not paid 7 days prior to the booked date, it will be considered as a cancellation.

  • For Premium and Elite membership, cancellation fees and policies will be applied based on the hourly rate system as regular membership.

  • For Premium and Elite membership, cancellation fee will be based on the regular member price of the selected room, time, and day on the hourly rate. Cancellation fees need to be paid before continuing using your plan.

  • Cancellation fee must be paid within 15 days at the Studio or by bank transfer.

Lessons

  • We offer a special price for any music schools, instructors and students who would like to use our studio for music lessons.

Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us. We will not share any personally identifiable information with anyone for any reason without your explicit permission.

 

We are committed to keeping your material confidential. We endeavor to keep all personal data safe and secure and use it only for the purposes for which it was collected and not do anything with your data that you would not reasonably expect. We will not sell, share, nor rent your information to any third-party marketer without your express knowledge and consent as outlined in this statement.

How We Use Your Information

  • The personal information that we collect are used for providing and improving our services including contacting or identifying you when using our services. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

  • ​Personal data you provide to us in person, via our website or by phone, including the personal and contact details such as your first name, last name, username or similar identifier, title, date of birth and gender, billing address, delivery address, email address and phone numbers you supply when using our services, signing up to our newsletter or contacting us for information and general enquiries, this information allows us to better understand your interest and provide better product/service and more appropriate product/service offerings for you to be able to enjoy our services.

Exception to our privacy policy

  • We may disclose the personal data you provide to us to law enforcement agencies, courts or other relevant party, to the extent necessary for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal rights or where necessary for the purposes of prevention, investigation, detection or prosecution of criminal offences or the execution of criminal penalties.

  • We may share information with carefully selected partners, advertisers and professional advisers such as accountants, auditors, bankers, insurers and lawyers. This data is not linked to any personal information that can identify any individual person. The reason is to perform the tasks assigned to them on our behalf and they are obligated not to disclose or use the information for any other purpose.

Changes to these Terms and Privacy Policy

  • We may update our Terms and Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms and Privacy Policy on this page or, where appropriate, by e-mail or any contact forms that you have provided to us. These changes are affective immediately, after they are posted on this page. Please check back frequently to see any updates or changes to our Terms and Privacy Policy.
